Spanish peach and nectarine exports to all of the top three markets were up in January-May this year, after falling last year. There seems to be an alternating pattern to these markets.
This may be down to the alternate bearing effect - certainly, it can be seen in the prices as well as the volumes. Prices were low when volumes were high in 2011, and vice versa in 2012.
